NEWS - S3 BACKREST FOR BAMBINO 3
From November 1st we will provide S3 backrest for Bambino 3, also for seat width 24.
When the total weight of the wheelchair is essential for the child, it will be possible to mount the S3 push handles on the S3
backrest instead of the Bambino 3 push bar.

END OF MANUFACTURING FOR WHEELCHAIRS MICRO AND BAMBINO
In 2021 we launched our BAMBINO 3 and in 2022 the MICRO 3, and now these wheelchairs has been in the
market for a while and basically replaced our previous models BAMBINO and MICRO.
Starting from the 1´st October 2023, Panthera will no longer manufacture the wheelchairs Micro and
Bambino generation 1, and they will not be possible to order as configurated wheelchairs.
Replacing products are Micro 3 and Bambino 3.
Spareparts (original or equivalent replacement) will be available for 5 years.

S3 ANTI-TIP DEVICE FOR LOW WHEELCHAIRS
Until now, you have had to modify the anti tip devices S3 to be mounted on our low wheelchair models
S3 Short Low, S3 Swing Low 0 °, U3 Y-front Low.
Now we can offer Anti tip device S3 Low where you don’t have to adapt before installation.

MICRO ANTI-TIP FOR 20” WHEELS
Anti-tip Micro for 20 ” wheels will be replaced with anti-tip Micro 3 for 20” wheels.
The new anti-tip device has the same anti-tip wheel as the Micro anti-tip device for 18 ”.

NEWS - COVER PLUG ARMREST S3
Starting from the first of May 2022 Panthera now can offer the new product ”Cover plug Armrest S3”.
When the user needs to remove the armrest from the side guard there will be un opening in the side
guard where the armrest was mounted.
With the Cover plug ARMREST S3 you can now cover this opening and increase the comfort if there is a
need to use the armrest as a sideguard only.

Panthera has a new improved foldable footplate for Bambino 3, we have taken the decision to replace Bambino Footplate Swing-up with Footplate Bambino 3. NEWS! FOOTREST CARBON FOR HIGH MOUNTING
We have previously made adapted footrest in Carbon when the Bambino footrest has not been an alternative.
Now we can offer FOOTREST CARBON as an alternative in the standard range. It is made of a carbon plate, 140 mm
deep, with two aluminum sides, mounted with clamps on the frame.

Permobil has entered into an agreement to acquire Panthera. The acquisition strengthens Permobil’s offer of manual wheelchairs. Panthera’s products complement the product portfolio and strengthen the company’s competitiveness in the market.
The acquisition is an important step in Permobil´s strategy to increase the quality of life for people living with disabilities through an expanded offering to the users. Panthera has a strong brand and reputation, and both were started by Swedish entrepreneurs. The two companies share the same values and focus on the people who use their products.

NEW REPLACING WHEELCHAIR MODEL IN THE EXTENDED RANGE
Wheelchair S3 Swing +25 expires from the extended range of models and will be replaced by Swing Long.
Due to requests from several customers for a Swing with even longer seat depth, we developed Swing Long. This is extended
+25 mm compared to S3 swing +25 (and 50 mm longer than the S3 Swing). We have improved the geometry of the armrest/
sideguards- backrest, the longer seat depth is an advantage when using fixed backrest systems.
S3 Swing +25 expires and will be replaced by Swing Long, same price and delivery time. Swing long can be ordered from 21-

BOLT TO INNER CASING CASTOR FORK X
We have received comments from our customers that the bolt to the inner casing on the Panthera X castor fork can easily be damaged
during service or repair. We therefor wish to make an improvement and replace this bolt with a new with a Torx T20 head.
The function and mounting is the same but with a reduced risk of damage the bolt when loosing and tightening.
We introduce this bolt when mounting on Panthera X wheelchairs and it is possible to order as a sparepart from 1st of October 2020.

PUSHHANDLE BRACKET BAMBINO
We have received a deviating delivery of push handle attachment for Bambino.
The deviation is caused by the C-C dimension between the holes on the pushhandle attachment being too small. This results in one corner of the hinge clamp covering a part of the hole where the drive handle is mounted.
To ensure deliveries of wheelchair orders, we have a temporary but technically solid solution with a beveled hinge clamp for a short period while waiting for a new delivery.
The beveled hinge clamp is compatible with all assemblies.

KNOB ANTI-TIP DEVICE S3 - LOW PROFILE
We have designed a new knob for the
ANTI-TIP DEVICE S3 that has a lower profile than the standard knob.
For wheelchairs with low chassis like
S3 SHORT-LOW and
S3 SWING-LOW 0° in combination with backward curved back
rest the space around the anti-tip device knob is reduced. With this knob you can, in combinations above,
still make use of the function of independently activate the anti-tip device sitting in the wheelchair.

Due to delivery problems we will replace Tire Mountain bike 24”x2”, art.no. 1102465 with

CASTOR FORK S3 NOTIFICATION
As previosly annonced we have delivered the new castor wheel bushings for a while, to facilitate logistics and mounting (Info sheet 2019-10). Then we also announced that we will later on introduce an updated castor fork for much easier mounting. We have now started to deliver this castor fork.
The older version of the S3 castor fork will be delivered until its out of stock and the change will come off gradually. The old castor fork and the new bushings are forward and backward compatible with each other and therefor we do not change part number for the castor forks.

QR AXLE FOR REAR WHEEL SPINERGY X 24” AND 25”
Together with rear wheel Spinergy X in 24” and 25”, we deliver the QR axle 1/2” 12,7 mm x 99 mm titanium with art.no. 1700710.
During an introduction period for the wheelchair model U3 Light, this axle was delivered with a U3L label.
This label will now expire and all rear wheel axles delivered will have the original marking with the ”X” logotype.

NEW BUSHING FOR THE S3 CASTOR WHEEL
We now introduce a new design of the bushing for the S3 castor wheel. This is to simplify the logistics and the mounting of the castor wheel onto the castor fork. The previous bushings for the S3 castor wheels came in two versions, one for the left and one for the right side. Now we replace these two with one version that fits both sides. With only one edge on the new bushing it becomes easier to mount.

NEW MATERIAL IN THE OLD STANDARD REAR AXLE
We have updated the material of the tube on the old standard rear axle, with carbon fibre instead of aluminum that we used
before. This change is done continuously. First, the widths listed below are implemented, then the other widths will gradually be
updated. This change implicate that the older standard rear axle will have the same material as the present standard rear axle.
It gets lighter and stiffer.

NEW SOLID PUNCTURE FREE PU - TIRE
Starting in August 2019, we will continuously replace the old gray PU tires (solid polyurethane puncture free) with our new black PR1MO PU tires.
The change means that we will have a solid tire with better braking action than previous version, it´s quicker to mount in a tire mounting - jig, due to it´s easier to fit it into the rim. In addition, the new tire rolls substantially better, according to our tests about 30% less rolling resistance. Will also be available in size 25 ”and 26”.

NEW COLOUR FOR CASTOR WHEEL MICRO
Our supplier of the 3” castor wheel for the Micro have made changes in their process to produce the tread. This is to fulfill their environmental requirements.
The effect of the changes of this process is that the tread will have a whiter colour and that the manufacturing is now more environment-friendly.

U3 LIGHT BACKREST UPHOLSTERY FOR U2 LIGHT
We will replace the U2 Light upholstery with upholstery for U3 Light continuously when ordering spare parts, as they run out of stock.
The change will have logistic benefits and the U3 light upholstery has fewer seams against the body and better comfort. Slightly lower weight and a nicer design with a reflective band at the back.

UPDATED CASTOR WHEELS IN THE S3 SERIES
After extensive testing, we have now updated the material in the rubber tread on our castors.
We have succeeded in developing a material that is substantially more durable, without losing the fine rolling properties they
have always had.
Visually, the difference is seen when the previous tread has been slightly gray and matt to the surface, while the new one is
slightly blacker and also glossy in the surface.
The castors with the new improved rubber tread will be continuously introduced starting from 1 March 2019

UPGRADE FOR PANTHERA X BACKREST UPHOLSTERY
As the majority of our customers have requested a more stable backrest upholstery, we will replace the current X-upholstery with the U3-Light upholstery from 1st April 2019.
The U3 Light upholstery provides greater comfort and better stability while weighing only 14 grams more. The upper adjustment band is better and easier to adjust.
Another advantage is simplified logistics as there are fewer articles.

NEW PRODUCT; WEDGE CUSHION
Some customers have requested a flatter seat angle than our chairs currently have.
We can now offer a wedge cushion made from foam rubber designed for our wheelchairs.
The idea is for it to be placed under the usual seat cushion inside the cushion cover.
The wedge cushion is 3 cm high at the back, giving a flat seat angle for Swing and Bambino and halving the angle of the S3 and U3 models.
The depth is 41 cm and the cushion can be cut to the desired seat depth.
PANTHERA AB APPOINTS NEW MD
Panthera is investing forward and reorganizing to better meet our customer’s future needs. With new resources we enable development of even better products, with high quality and short delivery times.
Fredrik Skantz will take over as MD from current MD Nils Sallnäs on 1st October 2018.
Nils Sallnäs will continue to work at Panthera as Head of Marketing. The new resources will enable part-owner Nils Sallnäs to increase his involvement as a working board member.
Fredrik Skantz has worked as Head of Production at Panthera since November 2016. Prior to this, he worked in the Human Care group for seven years, most recently as Director of Quality.
THE ATTACHMENTS FOR OUR SIDE GUARDS WILL BE UPDATED
As part of our quality work we will update the attachments for our side guards Carbon and S3.
With the new attachments we achieve easier component handling, fewer parts and simplified assembly. Together with the change, where the new parts gets new art.no. we will also update to more apparent descriptions of the sideguards
Starting from the 1`st of October of 2018 we will gradually deliver the side guards with the new attachments.
More detailed information about the included parts and assembly intructions will be presented soon.

THE ARMREST ATTACHMENT FOR THE S3 SERIES IS UPDATED WITH A NEW VERSION
As part of our quality work we update the attachment for the S3 armrest.
Applies for all models where it´s possible to mount the S3 armrest: S3, S3 Swing, U3, U3 Light families.
With this new attachment we achieve better fitting accuracy of the parts and you experience a more stable armrest when it´s
mounted.
A complete pair of the new attachments will be 48 grams lighter than the previous attachment.

CASTOR WHEELS FOR THE S2 SERIES WILL STOP BEING PRODUCED
Castor wheels for the S2 series will stop being produced and will be replaced with castor wheel S3.
When mounting a S3 castor on a S2 castor fork you need ”Spacer S3-Casterwheel on SU2-fork ” art.no. 9024002 (x2/fork)
We will offer these spacers at no cost when ordering spare parts until further notice. NOTE! You need to place an order on the
spacers to get them delivered.
We will stop producing S2 castors and replace them with these S3 castors. We calculate that the change-over will be at the
turn of the year 2018/2019 depending on quantity in stock.

BRAKE S3 IN A ”MOVED FORWARD” AND A ”MOVED BACKWARDS” VERSION
In some combinations of rear wheel sizes and rear axle settings there is sometimes necessary to mount the brake S3 further on or further back to get a satisfying brake function.
Now we can offer the S3 brake as "moved forward" and together with new larger brake plates mounted on the S3 brake as "moved backwards".

Cushion S3 is now delivered with a pre mounted velcro tape on the underside of the cover on the front edge.

PUSH HANDLES S3 H/S EXTENDED +10 CM
Since we have introduced the upgraded backrest for the S3 series ( see

handles S3 H/S +10 cm.
These push handles are extended 10 cm so that they can be adjusted to the right height for taller people, or when a lower backrest
is mounted.
The extended push handles are only suitable for wheelchairs with the upgraded backrest VER2.

Panthera is now launching a crutch holder under its own brand.
The holder consists of two parts that can be easily attached to the crutch. The upper part hooks onto the backrest tubing and

We would like to inform about the possibility to use the U3 Light backrests on Panthera X. For those customers that wishes to use the backrests for U3 Light on Panthera X, it is possible to mount these, with a smaller adaptation, made here at Panthera. The only restriction is that the U3 Light backrest is not possible to mount in the rearmost backrest position, pos. 1, i.e. the position where the wheelchair is most easy balanced.

Panthera is now selling rear wheels as tire and pushrim with separate article numbers instead of one article number for a complete rear wheel with pushrim. This change is possible due to the fact that all pushrims is now mounted from the outside without having to remove tire and tube. Thanks to this change we are reducing the number of article numbers and facilitate the stock keeping.

When looking at www.panthera.se on mobile Androids like cell phones and tablets that uses web browser Chrome as standarder you can experience that visual content like video clip and similar doesn´t display correctly. This is because Chrome has Flash deactivarted as standard. One option is to down load the Puffin Browser from Google Play for free. UPGRADING OF STANDARD BAMBINO SEAT
All standard Bambino seat will be upgraded with a new long bar where the seat extender is attached, the same design as the abduction seat. This implicate an easier and more accurate adjustment of the seat depth without interference of the brake. When you mount the new seat on an old standard chassis, without the pre-drilled holes for the new long bar, you need to use an awl to make screw holes in the chassis. (NOTE! Do not use a drill since it will damage the chassis) No change of art.no. and price.

NEW DESIGN OF SIDEGUARD CARBON
The sideguard Carbon will soon be delivered with a new design, where the coating have similar character as the Panthera X chassis, that is glossy with a distinct carbon fibre texture. The edges around the sideguard has acquired a smoother, rounder shape. Carbon Large has also been given a slightly smaller cover over the rearwheel to increase the functionality when driving the wheelchair. The sideguard attachment, for the backrest and the chassis, has been adjusted to give a firm fixation of the sideguard to the wheelchair.

Clarifying information of how to read out the diameter on the Schwalbe tyre.
To find out the correct diameter you should check the number printed on the tyre, looking like the image above (23-559), where ”23” specifies the width of the tyre in mm and ”559” the diameter in mm. ”559” is equal to diameter 25”.

Pushrim Paragrip and Tetragrip will soon be delivered with bent attachments (tabs), the same design as for the titanium pushrim. They will gradually replace the old with straight tabs. Our supplier of tyres for our rear wheels has ceased the production of tyre Speed Run 24” x 1, art.no. 1000053, that we use on rear wheel X. The replacement tyre will be Schwalbe ULTREMO ZX 24” x 0.9, that have the same weight and performance as Speed Run.
