"Hi! My name is Maria and I will soon be 25 years old.
I have a severe cp injury that makes my body not doing what I want it to do, but that has never stoped me from doing what I want to do.
Since 2007 I have been playing boccia and I took part in my first real international tournament 2013 that was the EC in Portugal. I´ve been in the national team ever since and I have traveled all over the world. .
2016 was my big break through when I did well at the WC and because of that qualified for the Paralypics in Rio. That´s the coolest experience I ever have had and I did exceed everybodys expectations when I finnished in 8th place.That feeling was magical!
I also have 2 MN-gold in team and a NM-silver an a NM-bronce individually.
Today I practice 8-9 pass a week. 5-6 boccia pass and 3 gym pass. Almost always by my self because there is no one around playing boccia on my level, so many hours training by myself.
The competition the last two years has become really tough. My goal now is to climb in ranking and hopefully win a medal in an international tournament and get to know my materail better.
